An innovative new service which allows mobile users to send 'chat' or advertising messages from their mobile phones directly to website banner advertisements has been launched by SMS consultancy - Jungle Telecom
Dubbed 'ChatBanner', the new service offers website owners a new source of revenue, with very attractive outpayments. Whilst a typical banner advertisement pays only a few pence per click-through, the 'ChatBanner' service offers up to 40 pence for each text message that is sent from mobile users.

Using premium-charge SMS as the billing method, 'ChatBanner' enables mobile users, (or users sitting at their PC who have a mobile phone), to send text messages which are then displayed within a banner graphic on the particular website.

The service is an ideal revenue-generator for dating and personal websites, as well as classified and small-ad websites.

All text messages are checked for content by 'live' moderators, and any messages that contain profanities, libellous content or any other text that is deemed to be offensive will not be displayed on the website.

Text messages are displayed on the website approximately one minute after they have been sent to the SMS shortcode number.

'ChatBanner' also allows website viewers to send private messages in response to a displayed message.

Jungle Telecom CEO Simon Luttrell, is enthusiastic about the ChatBanner service. 'Sending a text message for dispay on a website is pretty common stuff. But incorporating this into a 'live-moderated' banner graphic that generates decent revenues for the website owner is definitely not common stuff! We are being inundated with enquiries about this new service'.

The 'ChatBanner' service is hosted and managed by Jungle Telecom. Website owners can create their own, personalised banner graphic by visiting the Jungle Telecom website. A range of premium-charge SMS end-user tariffs (from 25p through to 150p) is also available.
